Natalie Wirth
Snorri West Co-Director since 2024
Snorri Program Alumna - 2008
Natalie Wirth’s Icelandic heritage played a central role in her upbringing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. From enjoying harðfiskur prepared by her uncles with fish from Lake Manitoba to saying “góða nótt” to her parents, her Icelandic roots were a defining element of her family life. In 2008, she participated in the Snorri Program, where her relatives in Borganes made her feel at home, and she maintains close connections with them to this day. Upon returning to Canada after Snorri, she moved from Winnipeg to Calgary to pursue her career in banking (Credit Capital Markets).
Natalie has been actively involved with the Snorri Program, serving as a guide for the Calgary Snorri West visits in 2013 and 2017 and taking on the role of local coordinator in 2024. In the fall of 2024, she was appointed Co-Director of Snorri West. Additionally, she holds the position of Vice President of the Leif Eiriksson Icelandic Club of Calgary. Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Natalie enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her family.
