Bjarni Þór Þórólfsson

Born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland, with frequent stays in the United States, Bjarni earned his B.Sc. degree in International Business from California State University. He worked for the Icelandic state for a few years before finishing his M.Sc. degree in International
Management from Copenhagen Business School.
Bjarni is a business development professional with management and executive experience in business building. In 2017 he became the CEO of a co-operative housing company in Reykjavik called Búseti, which has built and operates properties in the Reykjavik area.
Over the years, Bjarni has also been involved with academia, for instance having served as a lecturer and coach in courses on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Reykjavik University since 2007. Since 2017, he has also served as an accreditation reviewer for the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), providing accreditation to business schools internationally.
Since 2017, Bjarni has been on the Board of Directors of Housing Nordic, an association that promotes collaboration between the affiliated Scandinavian housing organizations in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers. Bjarni has also taken on various roles for the Icelandic government and has been a member of minister-appointed committees, including committees tasked with reforming and advancing the Icelandic passport and the Icelandic driver’s license.
Bjarni is an active Rotarian and has served as President of his club, Chair of the International
Committee and now as Deputy Governor for Rotary Iceland.
