Snorri Alumni Association (SAA)
The Snorri Alumni Association members are all those who have participated in the Snorri Program, Snorri West or Snorri Plus. The SAA was founded August 5, 2001 in Gimli.
Objectives
a) To foster and maintain cultural links and family ties between youth of common cultural goals and interests in Iceland and North America.
b) To promote awareness of the Snorri, Snorri Plus and Snorri West Programs and the opportunities they offer
c) To build a stronger youth presence in the North-American Icelandic Community and promote awareness of the Icelandic North-American Community in Iceland.
Membership
a) Members shall be past participants of the Snorri and Snorri West programs who agree with and agree to uphold and support the objectives of the SAA.
b) Membership will consist of individuals who have successfully completed the Snorri or Snorri West Program.
c) A membership list will be updated annually and be kept on record in the official files of the SAA.
The total number of members is now: 336
Thereof: 182 Snorri Program, 58 Snorri West Manitoba, 2 Snorri West Ontario & 94 Snorri Plus
