Below you will see what we have to offer, which is so much more than you
would get if you came as an ordinary tourist.
It has never been as reasonable to travel with Snorri Plus!
Application

will be accepted in the order they are received.
Ages: 30 and up - There is no upper limit
but you have to be healthy (email if needed).

| As a participant in the Snorri
Plus Program you will arrive at Keflavik airport early in the morning of
Thursday August 19, 2010 where a bus and a Snorri-representative will be waiting to drive you along with the rest
of the group to Reykjavik. In Reykjavik you will settle down in a centrally located
guesthouse and relax after a long flight and recover from the jet-lag.

2-8 |
Arrival in Iceland
Thursday
August 19, 2010
During your first week in Iceland you will experience Reykjavík's
Culture Night, take part in the Reykjavík Marathon with the group (or
fun run), ending with a big show of fireworks. You will
visit the ancient site of the Parliament/Alþingi and taka Golden
Circle Tour and participate in Snorri Plus' cultural and educational
program. You will also receive your family tree and the program will
contact your relatives and organize a reception. You will visit
museums, dine out, discover Reykjavík by foot and go swimming. You
will visit a company/organization that specializes
in your field of work where you can make contacts and familiarize
yourself with your Icelandic colleagues. If you are retired the program
will help you find contacts related to your interests.

9-12 |
Motor coach to the countryside and the Icelandic Emigration
Centre at Hofsós.
You will visit Borgarfjörður and Snæfellsnes peninsula before driving to North
Iceland. You will go horseback riding, visit Lake Mývatn, take a boat tour to Drangey
Island (4-6 hour trip - only if the weather is good),
and warm up in Grettir's pool.
You will also visit Hólar in
Hjaltadalur, Agricultural University and Cathedral, have a
'Kvöldvaka' a traditional Icelandic evening get-together.
One
night
is spent on Snæfellsnes, one in Akureyri, the largest town outside the
greater Reykjavík area, one by Lake Mývatn and one at Hofsós Emigration
Center. If you have
relatives in any of these areas the
program will help you get in touch with them.

13-15 |
The last nights
will be
spent in Hafnarfjörður. You will get the
opportunity to meet up with your relatives, visit museums, go swimming
and
more. The last day will be spent
at the Blue Lagoon. Departure from Keflavik Wednesday September 1, 2010
