Learn Icelandic - Study Your History!

During the first two weeks of the Snorri Program you will take part in a cultural and educational program, which includes an intensive course in modern Icelandic along with lectures on various themes of Icelandic History, Culture and Nature.  The historical lectures will sum up Icelandic history in general and the history of the emigrants in particular.  There will be lively discussions, team work and lectures with visits to interesting spots in and around Reykjavík.

This part is organized in co-operation with the The Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies. Attendance is obligatory, and homework is necessary for all participants.

All Snorri participants will be required to finish Icelandic online before arrival: http://www.icelandic.hi.is/

The Snorri Foundation would prefer if you finished the course before you apply for the program.
